What is Coaching?
See below for detailed proposals.
Coaching is a very unique profession. It utilizes the best of therapy, consulting, mentoring, and even friendship, to create a unique client-coach relationship. This relationship is a powerful alliance, a partnership of sorts, to help clients manage their lives, create more fulfillment, and live their dreams. Coaching helps move people and organizations from good to great.
iPEC (The Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching) defines coaching as a process that helps people tap into their inner purpose and passion and connect that with outer goals and tasks, to achieve extraordinary results. It is almost impossible to describe the remarkable, and sometimes miraculous results that come from the coaching relationship.
CTI (Coaching Training Institute) holds that all people are naturally creative, resourceful, and whole, and capable of finding their own answers to whatever challenges they face. The job of the Co-Active Coach is to ask questions, listen, and empower rather than instruct and advise.
Coaching can help you bring about balance, harmony, and fulfillment in all aspects of your life. Areas of primary focus are usually personal development, career choices and decisions, health and aging, spiritual awareness, romance and intimacy, family, finance, and social involvement and relationships.

Career coaching
Career coaching is very dear to me because of my exposure to it, both as a client and as a coach. Fear is rampant at his time; catastrophic thinking and an attitude of scarcity tend to prevail. Anger and resentment are also part of the process and need to be addressed. Hopelessness and despair are also common and manifest in anguish and depression.
